De-Composition 001, 2024

While working in floral studios, I noticed that some customers were almost obsessed with the "freshness" of cut flowers and the tricks to keep them fresh for as long as possible. Could this reflect our relationship with aging and death? Sometimes I wonder, does it matter whether a flower lasts seven days or just two? How long is enough? And how fresh does it need to be to be perceived as beautiful? A cut flower is already dying, after all. If you can pause and pay attention to it, maybe even 10 minutes is enough. Here for your consideration are droopy Dusty Miller and Helleborus, along with relatively long-lived seashells and nearly eternal rocks. All is the same matter. All is full of love.
